2 door Tahoe Tire size HELP!!!!

I have a 1999 2 door Tahoe stock everything. I want to put some 20x10 BMF Novakanes and 33x12.50/20 Nitto Trail Grapplers or Toyo MT's on it. Will this work? Will i have to buy a leveling kit? I've been told that it will work by some people, and some tell me it won't!!! WTF??? Could i possibly run a little bit smaller tire? Not really trying to put a lift on it, don't mind the leveling kit tho. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!

    Welcome to the site.

    I'll assume is a 4WD.

To fit those tires under the truck you'll need at least 2-2.5" levelling kit. You "can get away" pumping up your torsion bars. But you"ll end with a crappy ride. Even with the levelling kit (torsion keys) you'll end up with a crappy ride. Try to purchase a good levelling kit that comes with Shocks extensions or buy better shocks for the front.

Now IMHO, your Tahoe been stock, I'll recommend 305/50/20. Those are almost 1.2" lower than the ones you want. A good Alignment Job and a turn to the torsion bar bolt will be enough.
Also the kind of tire you selected for the stock suv is really aggressive. I recommend some Cooper Zeon LTX. Those will give the mean off-road look and capabilities, with great on road manners.

Thing is, the tires you select are great for off-road, and where those tires can GO, your stock Suv suspension may NOT

Just my opinion, hope it helps.

I have 33 12.50s on my 97 2 door tahoe. The suspension is still stock and the only problem that I have is that I can't turn the wheels all the way to the left or right.

That will be the exact reason for leveling it. once you are off road the tire will not only full lock turn but the deflection of the suspension will carve a new design in your fenders.

A leveling kit on an OBS is a waste of money, the stock torsion keys will allow you to crank the front suspension more than enough. The problem you are going to run into is that the wheel offset, especially on a 20x10, will not allow you to run that 33x12.5. Now on stock wheels or wheels similar to stock specs you can probably fit them 33's. Do your research on torsion bar cranking, the more you crank the less suspension your gonna get outta it, and then there's the harsh angles it's gonna put on everything from the steering to the ball joints and even cv's.

What he said. Get a 20" wheel with close to stock offset and crank if you're not wanting a lift. Run either 295/55 or 305/55 Trail Grapplers.
