Nitrous Question

ok quick question...im still new to the nitrous game so take it easy on me guys! but im headed down to the beach tom (4 hour drive in the 100 degree heat) and i was wondering if it would hurt anything to leave the bottle open the whole way down there?

oh and if it make a diff the bottle in the the bed of my truck in a lil black tool box

It can be a little tough on the solenoids, if your pressure gets above 1200 purge it down some or just use it. I've left my bottle open for long trips and nothing's hurt, we have the same kit right?

NEVER leave your bottle on. It WILL damage the plunger on your solenoid

ya frechy im pretty sure we do...the brand x kit right? and i guess ill just leave it closed . i was hopin to have a lil fun on the way down, guess ill just have to bite my lip if someone trys to temp me.....

Nothin hurt? are you fucking kidding me? Are you not the one who's shootin ducks goin down the track? Do you know what that much pressure does to rubber and teflon plungers? It makes them swell...Do you know how far a plunger actually moves up and down? Not very far...That very well could be your problem. That plunger may have such a big nipple on it, its barely letting any nitrous by causing your tune up to be fat

^ haha big nipple. But really you have a very good point. I have my bottle where my center console was so it's easy to turn on or off but I never leave it on
