    Better mileage than i thought

I've always thought i got about about 16mpg. So i filled up the other day to drive up to the track, following a built z28 and a built TA up there doin the speed limit wasnt an option we were running about 80 - 85 most the way which is about 98 miles. Then we race all day i make 8 or 9 passes, then drive home, figured up my mpg and i averaged 16.5, so now im curious what i could get if i just drove the speed limit and no racing, prolly close to 18 or better. Idk i just thought 16.5 was good after everything i was doing.

dude, last spring, i went to the Camaro5Fest in Valdosta & drove with a caravan of about 30 camaros. we were doing anywhere between 75 & 100 from chattanooga to ATL & i still got about 17.

i just did my first good fill-up after my new header data-log tune from Justin today & i used 16 gallons driving around town except for 100mi to/from the track on fri (and 4 passes + the trip there included a 130mph pull), and i calculated 18mpg. i, too, wonder what i'll get just easing it down the interstate...

How accurate is the Instant Economy on the Dash? Mine averages to 25MPG going 55MPH, and over 30MPG going 25-30MPH..

Instant economy is useless. You need to reset your trip computer and the "fuel used" meter before a long trip to get legit mileage. I averaged 22 mpg on a 500 mile trip from Asheville, Nc to my house in Arlington, Va while doing between 70-90 mph the whole way. Not bad imo, especially considering alot of that trip is through the mountains
