    Timing

Made a post about this in nitrous section...but think I was asking the wrong question (well...midwest made it for me)

    A stock internal 5.3--intake/exhaust/ud/efans

What kind of timing should i expect to be running? What are similar trucks running without problems? I know where I'm at...but I don't know what's an acceptable level. What was stock setting supposed to be? At WOT...I see about 24.5* (with current tune, 93 octane, br7ef plugs). If i read other posts correctly....seems people are running 28* on N/A motors without a problem.

I got a few trucks on 28-29* DD no problem

    A H/C truck running at 32*

All on 92 oct and 89-90F outside temp

I got trucks with stock tables HO14, /LO9, and others with HO11, LO6

    99-06 5.3L

So depends on what....who knows...those tables were Stock

Most trucks don't like over 25-26 without a cam.. That plug is a bit cold if your running n/a.

Every vehicle is different. Without a Dyno try this there is a pid for delivered torque. Use it and log your values to see if you gain it don't by adding timing
    2002 Lightning - GT headed 5.5Litre w/ Twin 7665s
    2002 Silverado - 427Lsx w/ Twin gt4202s
    2010 Silverado crewcab Z71 - 5.3litre w/ procharger
    2000 Wrangler - 5.3litre with some stance
    2014 Xsport- 3.5 Eco boost
    412 Motorsports

it ain't that I'm too big to listen to the rumors, It's just that I'm too damn big to pay attention to 'em..That's the difference

Yeap, been using it like 4ever because no dyno here.

And it works in terms of seeing if to much timing stop gaining or losing tq.

Most trucks here like 28-29* at best. Remember no Cats, no EGR, no pollution devices whatsoever....prob that is why US trucks don't like more than 26*

Truck has nitrous... i was running tr6's last year...went a step colder this year to try to compensate for the added timing.
