I got this engine as part of the deal when I bought my new truck from the guy. He said it was from his wife's yukon and was making a ticking sound and instead of fooling around with it he just had it replaced and it was now taking up space in his garage. He said it had around 70k on it and still ran perfectly fine with the sound it was making, he just didnt want his wife stranded somewhere.
I took it apart and found a lifter was chewed up and that cam lobe is somewhat rough. Everything else looks mint though, this engine is CLEAN. I would have no problems using it myself as is, but I dont need it.
this would definitely explain the ticking he heard
I also have a comp 212/216 .520/.520 115+4 cam I was going to use but dont really have much interest in anymore.
Also have a stock TBSS intake (bare).
The engine is complete, minus an intake. Has everything from oil pan, windage tray, pickup tube, balancer, flexplate, valve covers, complete 706 heads, valley cover, and spark plug coils.
The only thing it needs is a new lifter (the others are fine), and probably a new cam (stock ones go for around $30).
I would like $500 plus shipping for it, or local pickup is best. Shipping is going to be about $200 freight before you ask, or I can meet you within 100 miles of 35401.
The cam I would like $250+Shipping for, and $120 shipped for the intake.
Or I can do all 3 (intake, cam, and engine) for $850. I can reassemble the engine for you if you want, and will replace the lifter and install the cam if you buy all of them together.
