5.3L shortblock

Well, it looks as if my 5.3 was short lived. Its been smoking at idle and since i drive the thing daily i can't have it down for weeks at a time. I want to have a backup so that when it goes i can swap it over in a day

I want a running shortblock with under 100k that i can swap my worked heads and cam over to an drop it in an keep on trucking.

Im in west fort worth, but i am willing to drive if the price is right.

I have a longblock that came out of an 05' suburban with 60,something on it. $350. I am in Houston though.

I have Alumimum 5.3L short blocks, Well they are long blocks but I can tear one down for ya. I have 2 that are fine and one that needs rebuilding (rings are bad) let me know

I have P&P'd heads that im putting on so i don't need heads,intake,or valvetrain on the block. Basically just oil pan, block, crank, rods, and pistons is what i need.
I'll drive to houston for a good price on a shortblock, i just don't need a longblock. If you don't mind pulling the heads off and selling it then i'd be interested.
