Yes both tanks are designed for the areas.
99-06 fits just like the aluminum ones I build. It's the same pattern. No need to loose the fender support. Just remove it install tank reinstall support.
07+ tanks fit perfectly in the front drivers corner battery tray. Just slide it in and bolt it down. Uses factory battery hold down bolt.
