    Rig Accident

This happened a few days ago a rig I am on. They had the gin trucks loading the derrick on to other flatbed trucks on each end. The crown was secured, so when coming up on the A-leg section, the shaft broke on one of the gin trucks for the hydraulics! The derrick came down and rolled on its side. No one was hurt thankfully, but the damage is pretty bad.

We had a cable on a crane break while picking up a compressor. Same deal. Million dollar compressor fell 20 feet to the ground. Luckily, he had just picked it up and no one was standing close.

Yeah there was one hand holding the bridal line and was standing right under the derrick but had quick feet. Only shut down for maybe a week.
