Can we get some specs ?
bent 4 valves in the patriot LS6 heads when i lost 4 rods. as tradition goes, i decided to upgrade! i sent them to Craig Gallant. he is one of the well known porters out there. he upgraded the stock valves for ferrea 2.02/1.57 valves, machined the face of the valves to increase my valve drop down measurements. opened the port on my combustion chamber to match the 4" bore of the 6.0 and did additional porting on it. knocked off .007 to bring the combustion chamber to 63.5cc (total .027 milled now) he also re-worked the intake and exhaust chambers by hand. my guides were showing signs of wear so he installed bronze guides. my springs checked out fine so we reused the patriot dual golds. here is one of the flow sheets. he said his bench is stingy on numbers (dont they all say that?) and the exhaust port was done without a pipe. when a pipe was put on the peak jumped to 250 CFM. he doesnt believe in flowing heads with a pipe though for some reason. pat g said that my old motor setup shouldnt have had a problem pulling to 7k...but it the power band turned over at 6400 rpm. hopefully the heads were my hold back because my intake and exhaust definitely aren't a restriction.
