I was looking into getting a custom mail tune from Nelsons and I was wondering, Are the custom tunes able to delete the knock burst on my 05 silverado??

-Custom Catback with Cherry Bomb Extreme,L33 with 799s, Pacesetter Headers, Electric Fan, SHIFT Technologies Shift Kit, Corvette Servo, 3 inch lift, 18" Factory Infiniti FX Wheels, 285/65/18 Nitto Trail Grapplers, 6000K HID fog lights, 8000K HID low beams, Wheatley Tuned.
Hptuners allows us to access a lot of tables, the knock burst tables being one of them.
We'll set your trucks timing table up so that as long as everything is mechanically sound and in working order, you shouldn't expect any KR.
If your truck is prone to knock to begin with, a lot of times, GM's latest calibration will fix it. We flash every pcm with GM's latest updates, straight from thier site before we edit the parameters.
This ensures any known issues that the dealer and GM are aware of is taken care of, basically, we work from an updated, stock, known good pcm.
thanks,
allen

Kyle,
Get with Allen/NP for sure, they'll get your truck running just rightIf I recall, the FlashPaq doesn't do torque management, which will be your biggest "seat of the pants" gain when switching to a HPTuners tune. It'll be all around better for sure. If I remember correctly, you've got Pacesetter shorties right now, right? Everyone on here will tell you to ditch them since they don't give much for performance gains over stock manifolds, if any. Instead, you could go with some LT's, people on here have had good luck with the Speed Daddy ones off eBay located here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1999-...ts_Accessories or if you're wanting to spend a bit more, LPP has a great quality product, they're found here http://lpparts.com/store/page7.html. Cam and stall next! But that's a whole other thread. Point is, a Nelson tune will be the best money you've spend yet guaranteed.

Ya the superchip is a joke, I am in need of a tm decrease. Mostly why I want a custom tune. I've been reading up on custom tuning and learned the knock burst can rob the LS engines of some hidden power. No doubt when its time for a nelson tune they will def hook me up and do the right thing with it, the knock burst that is.

Thanks guys for the comments.
The handhelds have their place and do an ok job, but just like the factory, they have to watch out how aggressive they tune the vehicle.
Just like GM creates a fair calibration to cover all the variables, they do to.
With custom tuning, we can take into account your driving style and how you plan on using the truck and tune from here.
