Houston we might have a problem

I'm sorry i can't reply on my other post or I would. I wrote before about my harmonic balancer/ pulley coming aprt
Well, after removing the bolt it didnt come apart at all. Now though it doesnt fit snug at all. Infact the only thing keeping it from flopping around was the bolt. The bolt had worked its way off one time and it started backing off. I put a new bolt on and snugged it down with lock tight. The bolt was a little loose but it seems the harmonic balancer is {sp?} woldered {sp?} out. Its like the 3 miles I had to baby it home it semi bored out the pulley shaft. I also cant tell if it wore the crank snout of if its the remains of the pulley on the crank snout. You can feel grooves on the crank snout. If i did damage I wonder if they make a sleeve i can put over it. Im not pulling that crank. I would fill and sand with jb weld to feel the grooves if its jacked up. There is fixing to be a cammed ls6 for sale real soon.
    just a tow package

Couldn’t you just drill the harmonic balancer and into the crank and tap the hole and install one of the little Allen head studs (the name of the escapes me at the moment) as a key to keep it from spinning on the crank?

you could cut a keyway slot for it, that'll stop it from spinning. Only aftermarket pulleys have a slot for it though. did you try a new pulley, or is this your original you're having problems with.
blown transmissions are about as useful as 97% of the guys on this forum
