Thumbs down Gotta love the heat

I was going through the drive through at In N' Out this evening. I didn't expect anything to go wrong....I was badly mistaken. I was chatting with the fiancé and noticed it was super hot...I looked at the gauges and saw the temp had jumped up around 240. As soon as I started moving again it dropped back down to 190. It's NEVER done this before. Immediately when I got home I checked under hood...no syrup smell and the coolant was at a normal level.

I am saving for the Trick efans right now. Hopefully will have the money in a couple weeks. But in the mean time I'm wondering if getting a 160 tstat will make a big difference.

I've forgot the fans once or twice, and had that happen. On the plus side, our gauges read WAY over what they are. My gauge normally reads 210 and my digitial never goes above 198ish. I've been thinking about a colder tstat...but everytime I go to buy one, I remember that during winter, it takes about 30 minutes on highway before truck hits 180 as is with stock tstat lol.

I have an electric fan on mine and sometimes forget to turn it on and see the temps creeping up past 210...electric fan helps out a ton especially when its hot out like it has been and when you remember to turn it on.

I still have a clutch fan guys. If I had efans I would have them wired to come on at temp and run at higher speed with AC.

why not just set it up to just come on at a certain temp like the nelson performance harness and when you turn the ac on it kicks 1 fan on high to keep up. or just put it on an ignition feed and it'll come on no matter what.
