    so much for my ly6 swap

    motor i just bought...tried pulling the cam for about 2 hours....i noticed at first it would spin freely then stop....well it came out when we bumped it from behind...also found out y it wasnt coming out...sucks bad,my 4.8 is already pulled from my truck......

    do what?needed to remove the vvt cam and put in another.........damm cam bearing were fu*ked

    damn, that sux, see if the machine shop thinks it's ok to install new ones and see how the cam spins. i had a tight spinning cam one time, risked it and installed it anyway, been running since.

    yea i dont know my situation sucks....i have a 30 day warranty from the salvage yard i got it from.gonna call em in the a.m..just dont know if hes gonna like the fact that i opened it up....cant believe this it only has 27 k miles was super clean and was a killer deal for $1,200 shipped........

    I was being sarcastic...ya that sucks. Had that happen on an older SBC, kinda ruins your day. Better you caught it now then later though.

    same situation here man. Got a motor. did a cam swap and installed it. Rod bearings were trashed. now my daily driver has no motor. so i had to settle and buy a 5.3 and have to swap it all again
