They are an awesome car. I'm thinking my next vehicle will be a CTS-V. Love the look of them, lots of power, 6-speed is my kind of fun, luxury of a Cadillac with 400+hp under the hood from factory. The 04/05 CTS-V's have the LS6 5.7L and the newer ones have the LS2 6.0L. The brand new ones have the LSA 6.2L Supercharged with 556hp.

Personally I love them, I don't really see any cons of owning one, unless you need a truck for something.
2000 Chevy Silverado RCSB LS6 5 speed, LS6 short block, 317 heads, LS6 intake, Lunati 220/224 .575/.575 112LSA cam, Edelbrock Headers, CTS-V accessory drive, Nelson Performance Custom Tune.
