    Those use to be called rotary valves...old stuff. Rotary valves have been around since Moby Dick was a minnow. I had several old two stroke motorcycles from the 1960s that had rotary valves instead of reed valves.

    Good ole barrel exhaust valves (2 stroke). Gives you that BRAAAAAAAAAP!

    Though they were only 1/4 to 1/2 turn valves.

    But cool find for actually being in the combustion chamber. Wonder what kind of leak out you get?

    dont the rx8's have rototary engines in em
    02 chevy 1500 ecsb. 02 lq4 6.0, nelson tuned.(sold but still in the family)

    they have wankel rotary engines, totally different concept, no pistons, just crankshaft lobes
