    the ticking time bomb

i recently did a cam in my 06 5.3, best mod ive done to my truck! i have bolts ons, cam, gears, and for my tranny, well only a shift kit and 3000 stall were trying to hold up all the new found power from the cam. well everyone knows it! the 4l60e is a ticking time bomb, especially stock ones. i figured the shift kit and converter would hold up threw the summer, guess i was wrong! monday moring i went to head to work, i made it half mile down the road, and it went. i was just driving normal, when i reached 25 mph it just started revving, and not moving. i had no gear, no 1st 2nd 3rd, and no reverse. i towed it back home and there she sits. when i got home from work that day, my new 40000 tru cool tranny cooler that i ordered showed up. great timimg!! i couldnt make up my mind on which tranny i wanted, well i knew what i wanted, but since i wasnt ready and not expecting it to go out so soon, i was limited to how much i could spend. i would like to have a FLT lvl 7, even a lvl 5, but they were right out of my price range and i order a performabuilt lvl2 with a billet converter, i decided i wanted a 3400 stall instead of a 3000. so hopefully ill be able to put the power to the ground longer. maybe ill pick up a couple tenths in my quarter time too. cant wait to get it back one the road.

Since ya lost all gears it sounds like the pump took a dump ... Hope you shimmed the converter if not that may have caused the failure ... Just a little tip before you install the new goods !
