I have a Lq9 out of my truck I will be removing shortly for a 408/l92 top end swap.I have owned the truck since new and ALL maintenance has been performed religously, oil changes every 3000 miles and have only used Mobil 1 synthetic since new.Hot oil pressure is just over 40# in gear and engine burns ZERO oil between changes.Water pump was replaced at 120k miles with a new GM water pump.Besides the water pump, the engine has never skipped a beat!!!I guess that really does say alot for these LSx based engines!!Engine currently has 142,xxx miles.
For those of you who dont already know, the LQ9 is the hipo iron block 6.0 liter,364 cubic inches, and 317 heads.
Engine will come complete from oil pan to intake with injectors and ported DBW throttle body.I will also throw in a set of stock truck manifolds if the buyer wants them.
NO COIL PACKS,NO WIRING,NO FRONT ACCESSORY'S,NO PLUG WIRES,NO MAF,NO PCM.Basically,you are getting the complete long block with intake/inj/oil pan/covers.
Only reason for changing the engine is stroker engines are pretty cheap and I personally dont want to damage a stock engine trying to "hot rod" it.Plus I can sell the 6.0 and recoup some of my buildup costs while giving someone a great deal!!
Looking to get $1800 obo, there is wiggle room but not much,IF YOU SEND A LOW BALL OFFER,DONT EXCEPT A REPLY.I know $1800 is a little higher than youve probably seen elsewhere but those engines are "unknown" and have you ever noticed every junkyard engine has 40k miles? The engine is still in my truck running and driving and will not be removed till the TSP stroker is sitting here ready to go in.Any potential buyer are more than welcome to a test ride.
