    mill 317 heads on lq9?

How much can i mill my 317 heads on my LQ9 so that i can have better compression than 10:1 but still put a big cam and not worry about piston and valve clearance?

If it were me... I'd get a set of 243, 799 heads n be done with it

Put a set of 243/799s on and it will be 10.9:1.

go with 243's , if you decide to mill 317 your going to have to change pushrod lenght. check for PVC and make sure the intake lines up..
