Goin 6.0 very soon....... Head Suggestions?

I'm goin to swap a 6.0 in the truck very soon since my buddy is in a need f or a 5.3 for his s10. i guess i'm gonna try to find a lq4 unless i can find an lq9 more resonable and easier to find........... What heads would work good on this motor? 243 or 317. I'm planning on staying all motor maybe spray later on. who would you suggest getting heads from? Texas-speed...

also i guess everything else will bolt up fine.... how about the flexplate?

interesting fact, if you like texas-speed they make great heads for about $1300, but did you know lingenfelter sells their custom heads for the same price? food for thought, oh yeah, if you buy and lq4(in the case of you not finding an lq9), you could buy a set of good flat top pistons and install them yourself with a new set of rings to make an lq9. plus while your at it, you could put a bolt kit in it and run a hone through the bores to freshen things up.

243's would give u much better compression on the lq4 also dont ever buy anything from texas speed and if u can find some l92/l76 heads instead of 243's or 317' they flow awesome u could even take them to hke here in houston and have an econo port done on them theres also a place in round rock that does a good econo port for 500-600 i belive

also flex plate, the lq4 will have a 4l80e plate u will need to use the one off ur 5.3l

texas speed has horrible customer service and ive heard nothing good about there ported heads. Also know a few people that have had lots of problems with there motors, its just not worth dealing with them. HKE or HK Enterprises is a engine builder in houston

hey luke, ask greg about HKE. . . . yeah, thought so. actually for the l92 heads, you can buy them from SDParts | GM Performance Parts, GM Crate Engines, GM Goodwrench Crate Motors and Performance Crate Engines scoggin dickey for cheaper than you can buy a set of ported ls6 heads, and they will still outflow most ported heads. . . . you just need to invest in a L92 truck intake rails and TB

hmmm ya'll got me thinkin again on what setup i'm with...... i wanna do the nnbs 900mm intake and a FAST TB, but dont wanna spend the money on tht set up anytime soon, i'd rather get a cam first before i go that route. but it would make since to spend same or less to get a better head
