    Xbox 360 RROD

So uh, if anyone needs their Xbox 360 freed from the dreaded red ring of death, lemme' know. I found a way to fix it and I just fixed mine. If you're interested just PM me. I'm not trying to hoax 'yall or anything, I SWEAR by this. And I can do it for less than $15.00!!!

There's a few different ways out there to fix them, I've fixed two myself, using metal and plastic washers along with longer screws for the heatsinks... it's the x shaped clamps currently holding the heatsinks on that causes the problems... there's manuals around the internet on how to do it...

Bump for a good deal on a valuable service. Luckily mine was still under warranty when I got the ring of death a few weeks ago. So the repair was free.

the reality is that its the power supplies they used on the first gen xboxes that cause heat issues. using the methods above help to alleviate more heat and thus no RROD. the new xboxes.. with the Jasper motherboards use less energy and heat, and thus no RROD. My xbox is a "Falcon" model and the RROD was initally fixed , but not a perfect fix, in that model.
