The difference between winning and losing, is having a 2nd stage.
stock 04 LS1 vette with k&n intake.
2004 4.8 with LT's, open 3'' exhaust, ASA cam, 32# injectors, 160 t stat, efans, under drive pulley, ls6 valve springs, 4.10 gears and auburn, billet servos, nelson tune, stock stall, and big heavy steel stock wheels.
No replacement for displacement. the stock 5.7 makes about the same peak as my bolt on 4.8 did. But The 4.8 lacked a lot in the lower rpms compared to the Ls1.
