    Hmmm..

Recently was changing the oil and when wiping the oil out of the skid plate, i found a broken bolt.... later to find that it had left it's home in the head holding the manifolds on. Manifold bolt randomly broke off right up against the firewall on driver side.

Was wondering on how long it would take before it started leaking and whether to pull the motor or just pull the head??

Just take the manifolds off, and run it like that. Open heads FTW!!!

Very common. Mine was broke in the same spot. Had to weld a nut on it to get it out.

Well from the looks of the amount of threads on the head part, it looks like it broke off past flush.

I know that acetone and trans fluid 50/50 mix is the best 'loosening fluid'....

mine was broke off past flush too. just get a good nut and weld in the center to the bolt. just make sure to get a good weld. The heat will help loosen it.
