a buddy of mine has a 05 silverado 2500 with quite a bit of work done and he can hold his friends 01 duramax with a chip and exhaust, but can never seem to pull on him. lol they take turns on who pulls a fender if that. those duramaxs just shift so fast.
Today 03:25 am 6 stringer o thats a good point, its ok ill just add a blinker fluid cooler
Today 03:24 AMtruckinL33 that's not a good place for it, you can overheat your blinker fluid with the capacitor
Today 03:23 AMtruckinL33 i need them for when i go back to 1985
Today 03:23 AM6stringer i mounted my flux capacitor next to my blinker fluid resevoir
Today 03:22 AMtruckinL33 me too, right next to my flux compasator!
Today 03:22 AM6stringer hey gear oil needs to be cooled, i have front and rear diff coolers

Its fun to beat the diesel boys. Some are fast but not most

my buddy just bought the '31st fastest duramax in the us' and it only runs a 11.3...cost him 52k.

Few guys here are outrunning that. I can keep with my buddys 04 dmax (same size lift/tires as me)...he has a shelf program on his and exhaust...i have few more mods, nothing insane.

The diesels smoke thru trannys like nobody's business. 7 or 8 of my friends have diesels and only 1 or 2 have vehicles that are reliable. All have chips/tunes and all have tranny problems/ other stuff constantly breaking.

i like diesel for the better economy (especially when lifts/towing come into the equation) but for SPEED they are really overrated.

With 1 or 2 mods, diesel will beat gas...but dollar for dollar they get left in the smoke.
blown transmissions are about as useful as 97% of the guys on this forum

Diesels are BAD A and are not to be taken lightly. They are just like gas trucks...you mod the motor, you gotta mod the driveline to make it reliable.

And the worst thing is that they are sleepers...
