I was looking at a couple of TCI trannys and was wondering why the 96 and below tranny's are one part number and the 97 adn above trannys are another part number....whats the dif here? were there improvements...it wouldnt be the speedo would it? vortec trucks still had analog guages....I think...ha ha....thanks for the input..
The newer 60Es have a removeable bellhousing and a 33 spline inputshaft over the older 30 spline from what I recall. Also the valve body is a lil different (mostly dealing with TCC lockup), basic internals remained the same.
'97s still used VSS to control the electric speedo...
Um, the 80E is a totally diff monster. Very few improvements over the years. Nothing really to write home about IMO...
