my car got raped by a tree

so yesterday me and a few freinds thought it would be a good idea to go out two tracking in the rain, towards the end of our adventure we ended up encountering a large hill that we had to go down, i started going down it at about 10 mph but the brakes locked up and i started sliding all the way down the hill (very steep hill) and straight off of a corner over 3 small trees and into a very large tree..

    heres the damage:

    well shit.jpg

i pulled the grille, bumper, radiators, radiator fan and radiator wall out today or whats left of them and no damage has been done to any of the pulleys on the engine or anything else. the engine still starts and runs perfect..it just wont go into gear. but thats besides the fact until i get the damage in the front repaired,

at this point it will cost about 900 dollars for me to repair this.

after repairs im planning on putting larger tires on it and opening up the wheel wells a bit with larger fenders also i picked up some nice euro tail lights.. before this happened and some pro comp 15x7 black rims...i need some nice tires to accomodate them, but those wont go on until the thing is fixed.

any ideas why it may not be going into gear after an impact straight from the front? it felt like there was no shifter cable there when i shifted it it wont even go into park it just makes a very quiet clicking sound if you try to roll it into park, i havent really looked into it that much yet but will be doing some work on it before winter comes.

i checeked the dipstick and its dry, the bottom of the cooler was smashed in half, but wouldnt a transmission go into gear without fluid in it?

on another note i ordered a new grille and some other smal parts, i need to find a cutting torch so i can get the bent bumper mounts and busted radiator support off of the truck.
