If it isn't broke don't fix it.
My truck with the hyp 3 (that I have had for 3 years) has run 14.02 @96 consistent this season so far. Well I programmned back to stock and let the computer run a little and I managed to average 14.47. Not bad.
To get to the point I purchased a Predator. Due to its convience and scanning capability. No one around here has ls1 tunnining and I'm not ready for edit.
I'm not going to post my times but the only thing I have changed since the last time I ran was the Predator tune and about 5 more gallons of fuel. My times were horrible. :frown: The truck felt like I was towing something down the track, My MPH was 82! It was pathetic.
I have a built tranny and Yank torque thruster 3000 3.0 stall. When I launched with the predator it felt like I had the stock stall back in! Took the predator off and the truck was back to normal-Better.
I didn't screw with timming or airfuel, just the basic tune with raised shift points and correct tire size.
Any ideas? Something is really screwy about this and I don't want to bad mouth Predator.

Have you tried scanning your a/f ratio and timing? Maybe the predator doesn't have such an aggressive tune out of the box as hpp3. Try uping the timing and checking the a/f ratio and see what it's at for both hpp3 and predator.

Where are you located? Maybe we can get a comparison between: hpp3 vs. predator vs. ls1edit

    good luck,

The "report this post" feature is for reporting an offensive post. This post was reported to me with the "report this post" feature. I see nothing wrong with it, except him not liking how Predator turned out. I will leave it here and he will keep us on top of what happens. He is not slandering the company, as he didnt not release anything other then he was disappointed.

So I e-mailed the starter of the thread with the info you sent NighOwl, b/c i'm sure it was suppose to goto him.

Hey Allen, if you could find someone with a Predator programming in and working could you make a flash of it with LS1EDIT?

That would be a kick ass starting point for morons like myself who are going to be going with edit.

Obviously they will shit-a-brick if you post it online but just be like "I have numerous .LS1 flashes available, e-mail for details" something like that would be nice and sneaky...

i wouldn't really be able to copy the file and make flash, but i could possibly read the pcm and see what's been done. that would be no problem. then just mimic the changes to another pcm, and so on. it'd be pretty easy.

let me know what you want and we'll see what we can do.

I really was thinking on if I could get a hold of what is modified with the "Power Tune" of the Predator, that would help a TON of my learning the EDIT program. I could see the timing changes, PE, and whatever else is done. Like an EDIT for Dummies.

I have read all the FAQs and such and am pretty confident I can easily raise my WOT points, correct for bigger tires, and delete TqMgt.

I know this could not be publically posted on what is changed due to copyright stuff, but like could you get these paramaters and e-mail them to me ?
