I think I fried my ECU

Saturday I licensed my ECU, removed VATS and started the motor up. It couldnt run very long as I had vacuum leaks and no cooling system on it. It started 3 times Saturday, and 1 final time about 6pm Saturday night. When I started it, it started throwing rubber everywhere and I shut it off. Apparently the belt sucked my MAF wire in, this cutting the wire coating off several wires in several places, throwing the belt off behind the idler pulley, getting caught against the alternator bolt and shredding the belt. Before I stared it I had power on 4/5 wires at the maf (I THINK, it may have been 3/5), now I only have power on 2/5, and no spark. Did I fry my ECU? Im gonna find out tonight, im going to put it into my 98 LQ4 Jimmy and check spark.

Oh man. This potentially be bad. ECU should not be fried.

I would start by chasing down all wires associated with the MAF. Start at MAF and repin the connector, making sure it is all seated properly. Follow wires back to where they originate--maybe underhood fuse box, maybe PCM and make sure all pin connectors are seated correctly, along with any other wire that was loomed in the same harness as the MAF wires. Good luck.

I actually got it figured out lol. I went to LKQ and got a new ecu, hooked it up and nothing happened. started looking through the fuse box (I used the 2002 fusebox underhood), came across the ENG1, ECU, and PRIME fuse all blown. I changed them and it started right up. Thank god for fuses lol.
