    6.0 build for turbo

Alright guys first off i have found a 02 lq4 for $700 with 190k on it. Milliage doesnt concern me to much seeing as I plan on tearing motor down and rebuilding. Well to start off with I have a few questions. I want to go ahead and do the 408, which rotating assembly is recomeneded, can I use the heads on the 6.0, cam choices?? I plan on putting my existing turbo set up on this engine and probally will start off with 10lbs. As far as fuel go's will the walboro do the job, and will the 42lbrs that I have be enough?? I am no I can swap my patriot springs over to what ever heads I do, what about the pushrods? Feed back is much appreciated, thanx Nick

You need to get the stroker kit for the 408.
Texas Speed & Performance 408 cid Rotating Assy.

Stock 317's will work but I would get them worked to help flow. The 42's aren't going to be enough and neither will the Walbro. You'll need at least some 60# injectors and the Aeromotive A1000 (or similar). Keep in mind that the 408's that have twins are pushing 700-900+rwhp and will require a hefty fuel system to support it. The turbo will work but you could go twin 76's and be a lot better off. I would figure out what your complete set up and goals are and have a cam spec'd for your application. Use a pushrod measuring tool to determine the exact length of pushrod needed. Sounds like a fun build!! Keep us updated!

Alright just wanted to update this a let you guys no that I have changed my mind on the 6.0 build. Instead I am just gonna buy a low milliage lq4, something under 50k. I will be installing a cam, dual springs, pushrods, arp head and rod bolts. Any other suggestions while I would have the engine out of the truck.. Thanx Nick
