Carb Set Up Help ??

Hey guys I am running on carb set up on an L33 5.3. Dropping it into a 87 c10 currently with fuel injection. I am confused on if i can just add in a fuel regulator to the fuel system or do I need to swap out the tank and the pump for one design for carbs (older model c10). I know that FI system run hi psi 40-50, but the carb only needs 7 or 8 psi.

TBI runs 9-13 psi, regulate down to 7 good to go.
