kinda getting the power itch again...

so i work at a dealership and ive been thinkin about tradin in my truck on a 2wd again. i miss the power. i know now you cant have go fast and go big all in the same package. but im affraid i would regret the swap back.
we have a SCSB v6 on the lot which would be great for a driver till i could slowly build me a 6.0 to swap in but then i would need the harnest and all.
so i have been thinkin of making a deal with myself, if the right truck came in(SS,SCSB 5.3, or VMAX,possibly a Excab 5.3) i would trade in.... possibly. am i nuts?

ive also thought about taking the body lift off my truck, takin my add a leaf out(cali lean), and runnin 33x13.50/14.50, and buildin a 6.0 to swap in. but i already have 4.88 gears so i'd have to go all the way back through and change to like 4.56

Dang man, that is a lot of work just to get back to something that will never be as quick as the RCSB you are thinking about.

I would go with a RCSB truck, but I would go for one with a V8, since the wiring harness is already in place.

question, at the NNBS(07-09) trucks heavier than the NBS(00-06)?
i know it takes one hell of a drop kit to make these brand new ones look low! lol

This is true unless you get one hell of a deal on a V6 truck and then another deal on everything needed for the swap. I got every single part I need for my swap for 1300, which is much less then I'd spend to sell my truck and buy a 5.3 equipped equivalent, if I could even find one. I've had the swap planned since the truck was delivered in June '06 if you can wait you can score a deal.

You need a lighter vehicle for your speed fix. Buy a GTO or trade your truck in on an colorado with the 5.3.
