    Motoblue LT's?

Ever heard of the Motoblue headers? Found some on 1999-07 GMC / CHEVROLET TRUCK - SUV Moto STEEL Polished Stainless but didn't know if they were worth anything? $550 for long tubes with crossover pipes all stainless with resonators to keep the interior noise down...

yeah, those do look very nice. good, thick flanges and a cheap price tag for stainless with mid-pipes.

What i thought. Why the resonators? Probably cut those out and put the cats back in so my stock wires would reach. Not too bad pricey is a positive to me. Anybody ever ran them?

Resonators would cut down on the interior noise and the overall DB of the exhaust. I would leave them in and just extend your wires. I might have to pick up a set of these.

Basically. It's just like the resonators on the end of the exhaust of a TrailBlazer. It's just there to help quiet the exhaust.

I doubt that. They call it what it is, a resonator.

Here's a quick search on Wiki for those who don't know what a resonator is.

"The exhaust pipes in automobile exhaust systems are designed as acoustic resonators that work with the muffler to reduce noise, by making sound waves "cancel each other out"[1]. The "exhaust note" is an important feature for many vehicle owners, so both the original manufacturers and the after-market suppliers use the resonator to enhance the sound. In 'tuned exhaust' systems designed for performance the resonance of the exhaust pipes is also used to 'pull' the combustion products out of the combustion chamber quicker."
