What is a good price to pay for a 4.8, 5.3, or a 6.0. Is the 4l60e the same with the 4.3 and the v8's how about max mileage you want to avoid I see alot of motors on e-bay what should I avoid
Thanks
Robert

Mark just paid 650 for a 5.3. I felt like that was a good deal. It had 20k miles on it. 4.8s are nearly given away.

I'm on the hunt for one with less miles than my truck, I can't fathom putting in a more used motor. But these motors can take pretty high miles with not so much wear, so maybe a used motor and a quickie rebuild will suit you fine.

I thought about putting together a 4.8 that'll rev to the moon, that'd be fun with the 5 speed

And thats why I bought a 5.3. And as far as the cost I can't honestly tell you wht I paid for my 12000 mile motor as I bought the entire package deal for 1300
