hey guys will i be able to pass an emissions test if i just disable this code instead of actually replacing the parts i need. the only reason i ask is cuz its actually a friends truck that is doing this and he says if he can get away with it he will just disable the code
Whether the CEL is on or not there is still a history in there

P0449 is an EVAP code. Will not effect tailpipe. Also, when you clear a code, it clears out its history. LITTLE ENGINE, what year/motor is your truck?

Clears out of history but the IM flags still have to run in smog police areas. Depends on the type of test you have to pass as 449 is not a tailpipe problem as described above. IM flags have to run AND pass for a pass on any test that links to the ALDL unless the tune has them all shown as PASS.
