    Cool 1995 Hyundai Elantra GLS

    $500 OBO
    1995 Hyundai Elantra GLS 4 Door Auto, P/W, P/L, Cruise, 118,754.0 miles

    THE GOOD:
Runs & drives!!! Insurance is SOOO cheap! Blue in color! Cruise control works flawlessly! All 4 power windows work! The radio plays music! Drives pretty straight! One new strut installed and will throw in other for FREE! There is a spare tire in the trunk! I have clear Texas title in hand! Gets close to 30 MPG!! All the neighbors will notice you!! Inspection sticker good till December '09. I drove it to work and between here and Bryan for 3+ years.

    THE BAD:
Torque converter stripped out teeth, replaced/flushed trans, filled with Hyundai fluid, a week later 4th gear is starting to slip in and out. May be easy fix, may need a different transmission. Spent close to $300 on parts and not willing to go any further with it. That is up to YOU!! The A/C(R134A) DID work, but it sprung a big leak. I would guess the evaporator since last time I filled it it was super cold on the first day, the next day it shot freon on me thru the vents and hasn't worked since then. That was MAYBE a month ago, aka the compressor is still good.

    THE UGLY:
Front and rear plasti-bumper have since left the vehicle. Paint is pretty faded. It is a Hyundai.

Bottom line, if I didn't have another vehicle that already ran, I would zoom on down to the local boneyard and pick up a trans and put it in here. But I do. So I won't. So you should...buy this one!

Hah born and raised there! Worked at Firestone with Tyrone for a few years. Right around the bend from Lapp's. I think its around 20-30 bux for it on a 3 car policy.

Got some salvage yards coming to look at it tomorrow. Of course when i pulled it up into the driveway the trans was NOT acting up. meh.
