    New from Brighton Michigan

Hello, My name is Allen, I am from brighton Michigan. been into cars for a while but my uncle recently passed away and he had bought an o6 sierra a year 10 months befor he became ill. when I went to see him in florida I saw his truck and figured if anything happened to him I would buy his truck and finish what he wanted it to be. so thats where I am now. he passed in May and I just finished the bs of getting the truck (that took 2 months) so I did a search and found this site, looks like just what i was looking for. I have done several cars in the past. 68, 69 camaro 89, 91, 92 mustangs. 94 camaro and currently own a 96 z28. that just has headers cold air kit, flowmaster and a hypertech programmer with a 160 thermostat.
now the truck, it has 30,000 miles is a base model with no power windows locks ar anything like that, no carpet just rubber mats. is a regular cab short bed with 20 inch tahoe wheels(I think). 4.8 with flowmaster catback split into 2. soon will add cold air kit, program, and a white hard tonneau cover hopefully this week. and will come to this site to look up mods or buy a bigger ls1 and do a swap. anyway thats my story and I am sticking to it. thank you for the space. Allen

Welcome, good starting point with that truck. Sorry for you loss but its cool you are doing the truck. I would start by NOT buying a hand held programmer. Waste of money. Go with a mail order or live tune. Nelson Performance is the tunner of choice around here. Nelson Performance - Performance without Sacrificing Drivability The wheels look great, some color matching would top that off and look sweet.

Welcome! Sorry to hear about your loss. I do like the truck tho, especially the hoe wheels! +1 for the color match, that'd make it look real sexy. Call me biased but I love me a white truck!!

I already contacted nelsons for a tune and will send that off soon. also want to lower the rear end 2 inches to even it out. thank you for the nice welcome. looking forward to using this site often. been reading on intake swaps so far maybe ust start off with changing rocker arm ratio and go from there. thank you again Allen
