My mother is an A&P licensed aircraft mechanic. My grandfather, father, mother, stepfather, and brother have or currently work on helicopters at Ft. Rucker Alabama.

I plan to eventually get a pilots license for a small plane.

I have flown in the Air Force since 1992. I flew C-130s for about five years and the T-6 (the plane in my avatar) for the last 3.5 years. I currently possess multi-engine land and commercial pilot licenses. At last check I have about 3600 hours total with around 2000 instructor and 180 evaluator hours.

Nope, when you are operating a neutrally buoyant submarine, where gravity is not a factor its flying. plus our control console is more like cockpit controls also.
