I absolutely love this STS Turbo Kit!!!!

I have a lot of tuning to do , but just from pulling the timing and running it rich it's pulling very hard! 14degs of timing and 1000mv on the 02's, lol.

There is something going on from a stand still and punching it, it bogs for a while and then when it hits second gear it pulls like a mutha!
We hit about 135 mph no problem, I have a vid but it's very dark, can't really see anything. oh well, I'll get another one going tomorrow.
Forget about the gears I put in, they are awesome, they pull hard and the turbo loves it, I'm deciding if I want to go with some 2.73's, remember I have a 26" tire.

Something else, after a hard run, the oil dipstick blew out and got oil everywhere, nothing is broke, but messy.
I definetly need an intercooler, I'm hunting for one right now and a meth kit. I already want 12psi and 8:1 compression, hahah, I can't wait.
It's very hard to stay out of this thing, I bet I waste a tank of gas going to work.
As far as lag, as soon as I start off from a stand still, normally, it starts to spool and is just teasing me, it sound awesome! As soon as I lay into the throttle, it's there right away, I can be parked rev it a few times and get it to spool pretty easily. Not sure how much boost I'm pushing, but I want more, haha. I have the base kit with a 5psi spring and the GT67, I'm thinking about upgrading the turbo already, it's starts to build boost as low as 2200 rpms, which is easily reached just by driving normally. I wouldn't mind if it took about 2800 rpms or so to start building. I have a 3200stall converter.
I'll get it all tuned up tomorrow and take it to the track,
Updates coming soon,

allen

The bog is no biggy, it's slight, I'll figure that out, but I just went outside and started it again, I have kind of a rough idle, LOL< UT OOOOO. hahahaha.
I overheated this engine the same week I bought it about 3 years ago, doh, and it has always idled on the rough side, I always wondered if I messed up a head gasket when I overheated it, it's always ran strong, so it was no biggy. Now that the turbo is on, I wonder if it helped that gasket along, I'll check the plugs tomorrow and do some compression testing and a leak down. May be a sign, I need some 6L heads, hahah.
Anyone got a set of 6L heads for sale? They can be used , but in good shape and not warped,

later,

allen

If you blew the dip stick out you are getting alot of CC pressure, that will also blow gaskets.

Allen, if you have the PCV switch valve lines reversed it will blow oil out of the dipstick. With power to the valve, you should not be able to blow into the inlet your throttle body is hooked up to. If it only happened once, then I would think
you have them right.
Check out ebay for the intercoolers. The OBX people are using is $325.00 shipped. I was looking at one a little longer, but a little shorter and it was $340.00.
Damn, I cant wait to get mine done!!
