    Thumping nose

    When I'm almost completly stopped I have a thump coming from the front of my truck up under it & when I take off it's the same thump.. Dang it's anoying any thoughts? I had my new t-case put in and all is good with that I don't think it's coming from it.

    Almost sounds like a dry slip yoke to me (at the rear of the transfer case where the driveshaft goes into it), but the noise would be coming from the middle of the truck. Could still be that and you just think the noise is coming from the front, they can be deceiving sometimes. Could also be a u-joint. Do you feel the thump anywhere? Like in the floor, steering wheel, etc? Or just hear it?

    Man it took me forevor to find this dang thump but i finally finally figured it out the 2 bolts above the tranny mount where it mounts to the middle around the front of the t-case were loose and allowing the t-case and tranny to slide so I tightend the crap outta them. Maybe they won't work loose
