    ANOTHER ud question

I've already searched on here for the topic, but I'm still on the fence.

I've been looking at the SLP 25% UD pulley, b/c

    a) it's the cheapest

    b) only one to mention anything about knock concerns (I know the LS1 guys were having troubles with these when they first came out

    c) comes with a new bolt, and instructions. No worry about installing it to GM specs ( I know these are alot trickier then old sbc's)

HOWEVER. The dyno sheet they have online shows gains mainly in the 4500-5500 range. I'm sure all 25% UD pulleys are the same...and I want something to give me a lil more GO off the line/ better gas mileage.

I have the money for this OR a body lift. I want both, but more power/gas mileage seems like the winner hands down. I'm not expecting MUCH. ASP claims 10-15hp and 2-3 mpg. SLP says 5 rwhp. I feel their numbers are more believable.

Who has these? Worth the $? I had one on my fwd 3.4 monte carlo and I noticed SOME gains (like .1 in quarter, and maybe .5mpg) but it was cheaper/easier to install then the trucks.

    THANKS!

I recommend it. You are looking waaaaay too far into it.

I gained INSTANT throttle response. Mostly torque. I bolted it up, pulled out onto the local blvd and hammered it from a 20 punch and got a decent 15' burnout. This was before i had a bunch of mods and it wouldn't even chirp the tires on a 2-1 downshift.
