I know the guys with automatics can just use the flexplate that comes with the v8 but what do I do about a flywheel/clutch setup? Did the 5.3/6.0 come with 5 speeds? That's the only part of the swap I haven't figured out.

They make an NVG 4500 but it has crap ratios for performance.
Sucks. A T56 would be cool but the with all of the extra money involved I might as well turbo the V6. That and Quik has all of those clutch problems.

A T-56 is a good way to, keep in mind Quik is pushing 700 hp so that adds a little additional stress. Another way to go is the tremec TKO600 it's a 5speed and TurboMic ran one pushing 600+. When I go LS I'll go with a T56

I have the same question will the stock 4.3 five speed accept the 5.3 engine? like the pilot bearing and such?
the T56 came in camaro's n corvettes in chevy cars, in the SVT cobra in ford cars and the dodge viper...
and the tko is aftermarket
