    Got the job!

I start monday at this company called Borland Software Corporation. They engineer software for other businesses to improve there productivity. It's a contract job for about 3-6 months with me eligible for permanent hire.

Only bad thing is I have a broken hand. I am meeting with the manager tomorrow face to face to tell him of my situation. I called his cell earlier to tell him that I need to ask him a few questions as well as talk to' him, or tell him I have a broken hand.

The doc said I am only "out" about four weeks, but after two weeks I am eligible to get a removable splint.

I am nervous as hell about what they are going to say.

Where is this job? How much is the pay? What benefits do you have? How far round trip is it? What is the dress code(need to know if you can sport the dock shoes or not lol)? 401k where they match what you put in? Would you still be able to be a computer whacker also
You have to think about all these things first Duck before you just go accepting any old job out there.... Remember, you will forever have to put this company as a place of occupation and reference.

Just lookin out for ya little buddy!

Located here in Austin on Capitol of Texas Highway (360) right before spicewood springs. lol I did lot's of research on this company before I sent my application. I even had two different interviews.

IF I do get full hire in a few months I get
    401k
    dental
    medical
    savings plan
    discounted fitness membership
    discounts on dell products

lol I didn't just jump into this. Every single job requirement they had on the posting matched what I did working at SEU.

I start out at $14 an hour and can work up to $19

Just be honest with them. If they are jerks about it, you probably don't want to work for them anyway.

    Where is the job, Austin?

The broken arm shouldn't be a big deal. They interviewed you, and have seen your qualifications. Accidents happen and you can still work even though your typing skills will suffer. Congrats on the new job!

Make sure you have a story on how you hurt your hand in case they ask. "I don't know" may not work. Good luck, you'll be fine.
