Ok guys brother just bought an 85 dodge omni glh. 2.2 turbo. number to cyclinder is kinda messed up but its just the lifter. right now the turbo is pullin about 12 pounds of vac instead of pushin boost. anyone know what this could be? waste gate is hooked up pretty much to me it just sounds like the turbo isnt doing anything. I have no real knowledge of turbos so any help is appreciated. all the vac lines are hooked up to the pcv valve so i have no idea about it.

did they put the intake tube where the air filter is supposed to go and the filter where the intake should be??

Ahh it's a good thing you found me, I love those turbo 2.2's. A GLH eh ''goes like hell''. You got yourself a Shelby car. Anyway is it a T1 or T2? 85 should be a t1 and use a garret turbo with no intercooler. Is everything hooked up to the ecm right? It should pull 14# stock. check out turbododge.com. I've honestly forgot a lot about them, how the vacuum lines are supposed to be hooked up is a complete mess.

sleeper i dont know if everything is hooked up right. I have no idea and the book we have has nothing about it. it was a t1 but they upgraded. so i have no idea about anything. i know its had headwork done has a 2.5 cam, and exhaust on it. turbo ran great at the guys house then we put a new distrubuter in it before we left. so i have no idea

Vacuum hoses backwards somewhere?
Maybe a line got disconnected when putting on the new distributor? I would go back over ALL lines and hoses and make sure they all lead to something...Originally Posted by GasGuzzler

That site I mentioned has a lot of very knowledgeable people it's the equivalent of this one except for the older turbo dodges. If you asked 2 years ago when I was right into these things I could of told you no problem, I even had a T2 Daytona I was working on but cash got tight so it got sold and I havn't had much to do with them since.
