I was looking through ebay and found this bit of info from a seller.
"We do not suggest this for a full-size truck application : Mechanical fans almost always extract more CFM of air than any electrical motor. Since a truck is typically twice the weight of a car and sometimes towing or hauling, they generate twice as much heat through the radiator, and the electric motors cannot produce sufficient CFM. Also, the dimensions of these fans don't cover sufficient area on a full-size truck radiator since a truck's radiator is normally 25% larger than a high-performance car. "
So is he right or just covering his salesman ass.
He makes sense, but only if the fans don't move as much air as mechanical fans.
