    Torque Converter question

    I know the 4l60e will bolt up, but my other question is will the torque converter from the 5.7 bolt to the 6.0? or will i need to buy one for a lsx motor?
    1997 ECSB Chevy 1500 2WD, Lowered, tinted, 17" Impala wheels. True duals dumped w/ no cats. Ford 9" with LS1 F-body Brakes. Hipster (ATD) 4l60E. 3000 Stall.

    i believe you need a different flexplate if you are goin to use the 4l60 that was on the 5.7 vortech. I think S&P sells a flexplate that bolts to an LSX engine and a TC from a 4L60/700R4. I need to do the same thing. Good luck hope this helps.

    i think you mis read my question...i already have the 4l60e beefed up, with a stall converter. i want to know if my stall convertor will bolt to a ls1.

    If the 4L60e came out of a non LS engine or your using a non LS torque converter(gen 1 or 2 SB), than you can use the same torque converter but you need a different flexplate. maybe you mis read my reply.

    i had to get a custom converter to bolt to my 01 engine or else i would have needed to run a spaced out flywheel. i also had to get a different flexplate because the motor was for a 4l80 tranny and i used a 4l60 tranny
