My progress pics - LS1 intake/cam and Corvette acc swap

I started the tear down last night on my truck. I am replacing the truck intake, camshaft, and front drive accessories with the LS1 intake/camshaft and Corvette accessories. I have about 4 hours into it so far. I hope to get the cam swapped out tonight and start reassembling. Here are some pics.

I think this swap would be a lot easier if I had more room to work with like the full size trucks

    Started with this

Draining the coolant - actually surprised that I didn't make a mess on the floor this time.

    Radiator support removed

    Front drive accessories removed

Coil packs removed - it was a lot of fun trying to get the rear coil pack stud out from the valve cover.

I believe they are, I bought the complete set off eBay with the beauty rings and center caps for less than $400. I put 15x9's in the rear and 15x8's in the front.

It's a '00 LS1 cam with .500 lift. It won't be anything radical but its a cheap upgrade and there should be a little performance over the stock cam according to Allen at Nelson Perf. Since I am replacing the front drive accessories, I couldn't pass up a $30 cam upgrade for a little increase in performance. Eventually I will get a good cam combo in there. I also got a tune from Nelson Performance
