    Dexron Vi

Anyone running this? I put it in the denali when i changed the filter cuz i had it from when i got it to change the filter in my 06. But any way since then when i gear the trans down manualy it whines like a trans in a fullsize van and the way my 84 ss done. It never made any kind of noise before, could this be caused by the fluid?

My trans builder said to run either the Royal Purple ATF or the Ames oil both of which are full synthetic.

VI is the right stuff for almost anything serviced at the dealer. VI replaces III and is retro. No, it's not the fluid and most likely the noise is not even from the trans.
