Aggie if you have a manual shift TC there is a lot to make this NP8 (apparently) work. You need the TCCM, the wiring harness (either spliced in or a new complete harness for an NP8 set up) as well as a tune that will recognize the NP8. There is no benefit in a racing application to this swap although this TC is a neato piece and an OK deal. You can pull a lever from 4HI to 2HI as easy as you can push a button and with the manual lever you know it moves to 2HI whereas an NP8 has to do it electrically. The NP8 does have the AUTO setting but that's more of a front/rear posi for ice, snow, mud, rain. This is a good deal but it's more in line for someone that needs another NP8, not really a swap from something else deal unless you are industrious.
Then again, if this is not an NP8 then the OP needs to edit and so do I![]()

Bump for a good deal, these things are over $1200 new at the dealer, and that might even be a reman, I don't remember.
