Well got my wifes 2004 Tahoe back on the road last week, her 5.3 had the heads casted by Castech. These heads are known to develop cracks in the center bolt areas in the oil drain back port. Well, her dissapearing coolant was because the driverside head had developed the crack in the center bolt between #3 and #5 cylinder in the oil drain back machining. So, I picked up a 60K mile motor from Snyder's Salvage and dropped that in place of her 74K mile motor. So what I have up for sale is her 74k mile short block, the injectors with the rails and cross over off the 60K mile motor, the coil packs with brackets off the 60K mile motor, and the drive by wire throttle body off the 60K mile motor.

First up is the complete short block with 74K on it out of the 2004 Tahoe, it has the water pump (never been off, and no leaks), and the knock sensors (still look new, with the harness). Not pictured but will be included is the a/c bracket with tensioner, and the idler pulley that mounts to the water pump. Come by and take a look, it's pretty darn clean, still has the cross hatch in the cylinder walls. We bought the Tahoe new in 2004 and have always used Mobile One oil. I don't want to ship, but will meet up in the DFW area for pickup. I'd like $400 O.B.O.

I have the injectors with the rails and cross over tube off the 2004 Sierra 5.3 with 60 K miles on it I bought from Snyder's Salvage out of Holland, Texas. The intake itself was cracked so I figured I'd salvage some things off of it in an attempt to recoop some of the money I paid for the motor. $50 O.B.O.

I also have the drive by wire throttle body off the Snyder's motor. Needs a little cleaning up, has the gasket with it. $50 O.B.O.

The coil packs are off the Snyder's motor, complete with brackets ready to go. I think I might even have the mount bolts I'll put in with it if needed. $50 O.B.O.

The Tahoe this came out of is perfect inside and out. The oil pressure on this short black was really good....I know because I tested it with a $1000 GM test kit just before we found the cracked head. This is a well maintained engine being offered by a military trained airframe mechanic so you should no worry about it's condition.
