    Texas Mile

    Hey guys,

Well I am planning on taking my truck to the texas mile so i should have a few months since the event just happened. I was wondering if you guys had any opinions, on how to get my truck down that mile fastest as possible N/A i will maybe use a shot of nos but thats it no turbo or S/C.

I was wondering was gear ratio you guys would use. I have 3:42 in right now and i was going to keep it that way probaly. I also know i need to get a better fuel pump installed any opinions on which one?

Another thing i was thinking about was a roll bar. I dont know where would be this best to install it? I have seen roll bars installed inside the cab and also installed right behind the cab in the bed. What do you guys think?

Please recommend any other opinions to me if you have them!!

    Thanks alot guys,
    Brandon

P.S. What potential speed do you think i can reach with my truck in sig?

you will only get to about 130-145 tops....your gearing is fine with a 31" tire you will be able to go 160+ you will need a big shot of nitrous...your best bet is use the nitrous to get it going as fast as you can and then just use the nitrous for a couple of small burst in 3rd gear in the higher rpms to get it moving

If you want handling, the best thing i did was the rear sway bar, Even just changing lanes. I shock of the difference it made.

Yes i know i dont need a roll bar i justwant one i already feel like i drive my truck reckless so it will be insurance to me

Yea i dont expect to go super fast my goal was 160's id be happy with that.

Do you guys think that the 3:42 gears will do or should i go lower(3:23) or higher(3:73)?
