    some dont like em but ive always ran yank converters, you can call him and tell him your setup and he'll recommend the best one, i mean most places will do this but dealing with dave has always been good on my end, theres also site sponsors to look into. depending what cam you get the stall converter will help keep it in its "powerband" and when you shift itll keep it at the right rpms so as not to fall on its face- simple explanation, someone will pop in and give you the braniac version shortly im sure.
